About me... is rather an inexactitude. Of course, most of the personal websites I've visited contain related imprecisions. They title themselves personal, but feature resumes, portfolios, and all manner of professional qualifications intended to promote their experience, abilities and aspirations. In my mind, they are hardly personal at all. Do not misunderstand, jobs are important and I am grateful for mine. I do; however, resist allowing my professional obligations to intrude into my personal time. It's a trick that time has taught me.

I am a fat old man who has done little to merit recognition during his life. I'm the old guy down the block, the guy who leaves for work at the same time every morning, mows his lawn on Saturday, goes to church on Sunday and seems to know and follow the rules with such mundane regularity that he is nearly invisible in the background noise of society. I am remarkable in my unremarkability, distinguishable only by the number of others like me.

Only two things about me warrant notice: First, I am the structure that holds society together. I provide the regular, dependable, consistency that the exceptional distinguishes itself from. Second, and perhaps most importantly, I am as unique and individual as any; do not confuse typical and trite.
